Inauguration of Legal Services Clinic at National Forensic sciences University, Delhi Campus
DSLSA in collaboration with National Forensic Science University, Department of Law, Forensic Justice & Policy Studies set up a Legal Services Clinic in the premises of National Forensic Science University, Delhi Campus (LNJN-NICFS), Sector-3, Rohini Delhi.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Manmohan, Judge, Acting Chief Justice, High Court of Delhi & Executive Chairperson, DSLSA graced the occasion and inaugurated the Legal Services Clinic in the august presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Girish Kathpalia, Judge, High Court of Delhi, Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA, Ld. Secretaries of DSLSA/DLSAs, Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Campus Director, NFSU Delhi Campus and other eminent personalities.
A Legal Services Information Board depicting the information about the availability of free legal aid and the categories entitled thereof, was also inaugurated. Besides above, a Pro-Bono Club was also inaugurated virtually. The program was attended by college faculty, students and other staff members
Capacity Building Training Programme for Legal Services Advocates of all Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs)
Delhi State Legal Services Authority organized a Capacity Building Training Programme for Legal Services Advocates of all Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs) on 18th December, 2023 at Conference Hall, First Floor, Rouse Avenue District Courts, New Delhi.
Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Member Secretary, DSLSA interacted with the participants and also briefed them about the objective behind the training programme and role of LSAs in carrying out their duties.
Sh. Alok Aggarwal, Former Member Secretary, NALSA/Retd. DHJS and Sh. Abhinav Pandey, Secretary (Litigation), DSLSA delivered the session on the topic “Roles of LSAs in protecting the best interests of the child with sharing of best practices”. The topic was well elaborated with the help of Powepoint presentation.
Thereafter, the next session on the topic “Preliminary assessment under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children Act, 2015 was delivered by Sh. Mridul Gupta, Additional Secretary, DSLSA & Ms. Geetanjali Kapoor, LSA, JJB-II.
During the session all the queries raised by the participants were resolved by the resource persons.”

“Delhi State Legal Services Authority organized a Capacity Building Training Programme for Legal Services Advocates on the panel of Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) on 13th December, 2023 at Conference Hall, Central Office, DSLSA, Rouse Avenue District Courts, New Delhi.
Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Member Secretary, DSLSA briefed all the participants about the objective behind the training programme and role of LSAs in carrying out their duties. Sh. Naveen Gupta, Special Secretary, DSLSA and Sh. Mridul Gupta, Additional Secretary, DSLSA delivered the session on the topic “Role of Legal Services Advocates in the rehabilitation & reintegration of Child with sharing of best practices”.
Sh. Abhinav Pandey, Secretary (Litigation), DSLSA and Ms. Priya Singh, Legal Services Advocate, JJB-I explained the topic “Challenges faced by LSAs in dealing with issues of Child in need of Care & Protection”.

Chief Guest in the 3rd National Nukkad Natak Competition: Antarnad organized by VIPS
Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Member Secretary, DSLSA delivered the Special Address to the participants as the Chief Guest in the 3rd National Nukkad Natak Competition: Antarnad organized by VIPS Legal Aid Clinic of Vivekananda School of Law and Legal Studies, VIPS-TC on 06.12.2023.
Day 8 of the Add-on-Certificate Course (third batch) at Daulat Ram College
On Day 8 of the Add-on-Certificate Course (third batch) at Daulat Ram College, Sh. Ankur Panghal, Secretary, North DLSA delivered the session on the topic “Interpretation of Statues”. The session was very interactive. He elaborated the topic with the help of a PowerPoint presentation for quick and effective understanding.”
DSLSA setup a help desk/Stall in India International Trade fair 2023
Delhi State Legal Services Authority set up a help desk/Stall at India International Trade Fair 2023, Pragati Maidan. The main objective of the Help Desk was to spread legal awareness on large scale to the public and make them aware of their legal rights and access to Legal Aid. The said help desk was manned by one Legal Aid Counsel, one Para Legal Volunteer and one official of this Authority. Visitors were made aware about provisions of free legal aid as envisaged in Legal Services Authority Act, 1987 and 24*7 helpline number of this Authority. Pamphlets and Information Booklet were also distributed to spread awareness amongst the visitors. The said stall was decorated with the posters having information about DSLSA and DLSAs. Arrangement of continuous information dissemination through Television was also made.

DSLSA organized a Preamble reading of the Constitution of India on Constitution Day
To commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India, 26th November is annually observed as “Constitution Day” also known as National Law Day, annually.
Keeping in view the importance of Constitution Day, DSLSA organized a Preamble reading of the Constitution of India on 25th November 2023 in Conference Hall, DSLSA, Rouse Avenue Courts.
On this occasion, the Judicial Officers and staff of Delhi State Legal Services Authority read aloud the Preamble to Constitution of India and took a pledge to abide by the Principles enshrined therein. All present were also apprised about the importance, thoughts, and ideas that went into making of the Constitution of India by Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Member Secretary, DSLSA.”
