Training Programme for Legal Services Advocates of all Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) and Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs) on 04.01.2025
DSLSA organized half day Training Programme for Legal Services Advocates of all Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) and Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs) on 04th January, 2025 at Conference Hall, First Floor, Rouse Avenue District Court Complex, New Delhi from 02:30 PM onwards.
Sh. Rajeev Bansal, Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA briefed all the participants about the objective behind the training programme. He also delivered the session on the topic “Sharing of best practices:- Standards of Professional Ethics in Legal Representation of Children by Lawyers. Sh. Mridul Gupta, Ld. Additional Secretary, DSLSA and Sh. Abhinav Pandey, Ld. Secretary (Litigation), DSLSA also interacted with the participants.
Sh. Anant Asthana, Advocate/Consultant (JJB & CWC matters) delivered the session on the topic “Law and Procedure on Age Determination: Emerging Frontiers”. The topic was well explained with the help of Powerpoint presentation.
Thereafter, Sh. Preetam Yadav, Counsellor, South & South East DLSA delivered the session on the topic “Best Interest Principle: Child phychology and sensitization as to the issues affecting the child”. All the queries raised by the participants were resolved by the resource persons.
Training on “LSMS Portal” on 07.12.2024
Regular refresher training for users of the LSMS portal is vital to ensure its effective use and maintenance of data quality. It helps the user to navigate the portal quickly and with minimal errors.
DSLSA organized a half day refresher training on “LSMS Portal” for the officials from each of DLSAs to assist their respective advocates in updating their proceedings of assigned cases on said portal on 07.12.2024 at Conference Hall, 1st Floor, Rouse Avenue District Court Complex, New Delhi.
Ms. Sonia, Sr. Programmer, DSLSA was the resource person who explained the step by step way of operating the portal and also resolved the queries of the participants related to the functioning of the portal. She also described about Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) helpline number of NALSA #15100.
Visit of Nalsa Interns on 06.12.2024
Delhi State Legal Services Authority organized a half-day Orientation/Interaction Session for the NALSA Interns on 06.12.2024 at Conference Hall, 1st floor, Rouse Avenue District Court Complex, New Delhi. The said interns are attached with this authority till 17th December, 2024.
On the Orientation Day, Sh. Rajeev Bansal, Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA interacted with the participants. Sh. Mridul Gupta, Ld. Additional Secretary, DSLSA also interacted with the interns and delivered the session on “Overview of The Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987”, “Functions & Functioning of DSLSA” with the help of a PPT. Thereafter, Ms. Richika Tyagi, Ld. Secretary, Central-II DLSA took the session on “Delhi Victims’ Compensation Scheme-2018” with the help of powerpoint presentation. During the session, the Interns were also informed about the 24X7 helpline number of this Authority #1516 as well as NALSA helpline number #15100. All the queries/doubts raised by the participants were resolved by the Ld. Resource persons.
Thereafter, all the interns proceeded to visit Central Office, DSLSA to know about working of DSLSA and then proceed to Central-II DLSA, Nyay Sanyog, Front Office, Mediation centre, Vulnerable Witness Deposition Centre, Rouse Avenue Courts to understand the practical working of these offices. After Lunch, the interns were attached with South and South East DLSA, Saket Courts till 17.12.2024 for further exposure visits to Remand, Criminal & Civil Courts, Saket Courts, Vulnerable Witness Room, Family Courts, Mediation Centre, Lock up, DM Office, Police Station, CAW Cell, Tihar Jail, National Lok Adalat, Permanent Lok Adalats, Juvenile Justice Boards and Observation Homes and also involvement in Legal Aid and awareness programmes.
Pledge taken against Child Marriage on 30.11.2024
Ministry of Women and Child Development, GOI has launched the ‘Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat’ (BVMB) campaign to eliminate child marriage and safeguard the rights of children, especially girls across the nation. To strengthen and resonate the impact of this campaign, WCD has requested stakeholders to undertake a pledge against child marriage including different initiatives in disseminating this information amongst staff, litigants and other stakeholders.
Accordingly, Sh. Rajeev Bansal, Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA, Sh. Naveen Gupta, Ld. Special Secretary, DSLSA, Sh. Mridul Gupta, Ld. Additional Secretary, DSLSA and staff members of Delhi State Legal Services Authority took a pledge against Child Marriage on 30.11.2024 at 11:00AM in Conference Hall, Central Office, DSLSA, RADC. All present were sensitized to take initiatives, if any such case come to their knowledge and were also asked to disseminate the information regarding negative impact of child marriage on Society. Staff members were also persuaded to login the MyGov portal and take online pledge too.

Delhi State Legal Services Authority organized an orientation programme for the 6 interns from NALSA. The said interns were attached to this authority w.e.f. 06.03.2024 to 13.03.2024.
On the Orientation Day, Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA and Sh. Abhinav Pandey, Ld. Secretary (Litigation), DSLSA welcomed the participants and briefed all present about working of DSLSA/DLSAs and key objective of Internship programme. The interns were also made aware about the provisions of free legal aid as envisaged in The Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987and 24*7 helpline number of this Authority #1516 & NALSA helpline number #15100.
All the interns also visited Central Office, DSLSA, Central II DLSA, Nyay Sanyog, Mediation Centre, and Vulnerable Witnesses Room, RADC to understand the practical working of the offices. After Lunch, the interns were attached with South East DLSA till 13.03.2024 for further exposure and involvement in Legal Aid and awareness programme.
National Level Suggestion competition on the topic “Prevention of Violence against Women in Society” organized
“Delhi State Legal Services Authority collaborated as Principal partner in National Level Suggestion competition on the topic “Prevention of Violence against Women in Society” organized on 03.03.2024 at The Park Hotel by Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti, NGO & other stakeholders.
Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Member Secretary, DSLSA was invited as Chief Guest in the said event alongwith other Ld. Dignitaries. He addressed the participants and shared his valuable insights on legal issues related to women. The event was informative and attended by Social activists, various academicians.”
Delhi State Legal Services Authority initiated a week long Project “मशाल- नारी सशक्तिकरण की ओर”
As we know “Literate women make better mothers”, so if a women is aware about her legal rights it will benefit the whole family and will make the whole society grow, thereby, to commemorate International Women’s Day 2024, Delhi State Legal Services Authority initiated a week long Project “मशाल- नारी सशक्तिकरण की ओर” w.e.f 01st to 07th March, 2024.
DSLSA in association with Indian Medical Association (IMA), New Delhi, Central -II DLSA, inaugurated the above said project on 02.03.2024 at 03:15 PM. The programme started with the unveiling of Information Board of DSLSA by Sh. Sanjay Garg, Ld. Principal District & Sessions Judge, New Delhi District, Patiala House Courts, & Chairperson, New Delhi DLSA, Ms. Anju Bajaj Chandana, Ld. Principal District & Sessions Judge-cum-Spl. Judge (PC-ACT), CBI, Rouse Avenue District Courts, Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA, Sh. Naveen Gupta, Ld. Special Secretary, DSLSA, Sh. Vinay Aggarwal, Chairman, Action Committee & former President, I.M.A and other Ld. Dignitaries. Thereafter, Hon’ble dignitaries inaugurated the Project by unveiling a Video on the activities proposed to be carried out during this week long programme.

In the event, Ms. Basanti, Acid Attack Survivor and Ms. Farah, Para Legal Volunteer narrated their own stories including hardships faced by them in life and how they overcome them with the help of DSLSA. Ms. Anju Bajaj Chandana, Ld. Principal District & Sessions Judge-cum-Spl. Judge (PC-ACT), CBI, Rouse Avenue District Courts addressed the participants and motivated them to become self-reliant. To recognize & appreciate the commendable work done by LSAs and PLVs associated with DLSAs on women related issues, certificates of excellence were awarded to LSAs and PLVs. Sh. Sanjay Garg, Ld. Principal District & Sessions Judge, New Delhi District, Patiala House Courts, & Chairperson, New Delhi DLSA delivered the keynote address.
On this occasion, Sh. Mridul Gupta, Ld. Additional Secretary, DSLSA and Ld. Secretaries, DLSAs were also present. Ms. Jyoti Maheshwari, Ld. Secretary South DLSA hosted the programme and Ms. Richika Tyagi, Ld. Secretary, Central-II, DLSA delivered the vote of thanks.
The program was attended by doctors, Legal Services Advocates, Para Legal Volunteers and representatives from various NGOs. The event was LIVE streamed on You-Tube channel of DSLSA.
