“दिल्ली राज्य विधिक सेवा प्राधिकरण ने 2014 की Civil Appeal No. 2482 of 2014 titled Aureliano Fernandes Vs State of Goa and Ors शीर्षक से भारत के माननीय सर्वोच्च न्यायालय के निर्देशों के तहत केंद्रीय कार्यालय की सभी महिला कर्मचारियों के लिए 18.10.2023 को कॉन्फ्रेंस हॉल, केंद्रीय कार्यालय, डीएसएलएसए में “”कार्यस्थल पर महिलाओं का यौन उत्पीड़न (रोकथाम, निषेध और निवारण) अधिनियम 2013″” विषय पर एक जागरूकता कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया।
श्री अभिनव पांडे, सचिव (लिटिगेशन), डीएसएलएसए और सुश्री ज्योति माहेश्वरी, सचिव, सेंट्रल-द्वितीय डीएलएसए ने “”POSH अधिनियम 2013″” पर सत्र लिया और पावरपॉइंट प्रेजेंटेशन की मदद से इसे अच्छी तरह से समझाया। POSH
अधिनियम 2013 में आईसी (आंतरिक समिति) की भूमिका के बारे में बताया गया और प्रतिभागियों को केंद्रीय कार्यालय में आईसी की संरचना के बारे में भी बताया गया। कार्यस्थल एवं नियोक्ता की परिभाषा को भी विस्तार से बताया गया। प्रश्न उत्तर राउंड भी सत्र का एक हिस्सा था। यह एक संवादात्मक सत्र था जिसमें संसाधन व्यक्तियों द्वारा सभी कर्मचारियों के प्रश्नों का समाधान किया गया।

Delhi State Legal Services Authority under the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal No. 2482 of 2014 titled Aureliano Fernandes Vs State of Goa and Ors organized an Awareness Programme on 18.10.2023 for all the women employees of the Central Office, DSLSA on the topic “Sexual Harrasment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013” at Conference Hall, Central Office, DSLSA.
Sh. Abhinav Pandey, Secretary (Litigation), DSLSA and Ms. Jyoti Maheshwari, Secretary, Central-II DLSA took the session on “POSH Act 2013” and explained it well with the help of Powerpoint presentation. IC’s (Internal Commitee) role in POSH Act 2013 was explained and composition of IC in Central Office was also told to the partipants. Workplace and employer definition was also explained in detail. Questions Answers round was also a part of the session. It was an interactive session wherein queries of all the employees were resolved by the Resource persons.”

With the motto to reach out to the last man of the society and spreading Legal Awareness and providing Free Legal Assistance to the eligible persons, Central DLSA-II set up a Legal Literacy Clinic at Pt. Deendayal Upadhaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilitites(Divyangjan), Vishnu Digamber Marg, New Delhi on 6th October, 2023.
The Programme started with inauguration of Information Board of DSLSA at the premises by the dignitaries and welcome address of Dr. Jitendera Sharma, Director, PDUNIPPD. Thereafter, Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Member Secretary, DSLSA addressed and interacted with the audience and appreciated PDUNIPPD for providing space for setting up Legal Literacy Clinic and understanding the need of spreading Legal Awareness. Dr. Lalit Narayan, Deputy Director, PDUNIPPD also addressed all the persons attending the Progarmme. Sh. Naveen Gupta, Special Secretary, DSLSA, Sh. Mridul Gupta, Additional Secretary, DSLSA, Sh. Abhinav Pandey, Secretary DSLSA and Ms. Jyoti Maheshwari, Secretary, Central-II DLSA were also present .

Legal Awareness Programme
“Delhi State Legal Services Authority collaborated as Principal partner with Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti, an NGO that organized a Legal Awareness Progarmme 2023 on 07.10.2023 at Engineers Bhawan, Institution of Engineers (India) Delhi State Centre ,New Delhi.
In the said Programme a National Research Paper Presentation Competition/National Conference on the theme “Legal Education is necessity” was held. The sub-themes are Legal Education and Syllabus, Cyber Security: Challenges and Solutions, Prevention of Child Abuse & Prevention of Violence against Women. Information regarding various schemes and functions of Delhi State Legal Services Authority was disseminated to all the participants by means of Information Booklets and Pamphlets provided by DSLSA for the purpose of legal awareness.”

Legal awareness or legal literacy means empowering the public by making them familiar with basic concepts related to law. With an aim to empower the jail inmates by making them aware about their right to Free Legal Aid, Bail, Furlough, Parole, Remission, Plea-Bargaining, Compounding of Offences and such other rights, a Project “Kanooni Saksharta – Sabka Adhikar” of Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Manmohan, Judge High Court of Delhi & Chairman, DHCLSC at Tihar Jail No.4 on 07.10.2023 alongwith inauguration of Newly Set up Paper Craft Unit in Central Jail No. 4, Tihar Jail. During the Programme Sh. Sanjay Baniwal, worthy Director General (Prisons), Tihar, Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA and Sh. Sushant Changotra, Ld. Secretary, DHCLSC spoke about importance of Legal Aid and the Pivotal role played by Legal Services Authorities in ensuring proper legal aid to the inmates.
The Programme was also attended by Sh. H. P. S. Sran, Additional Inspector General (Prisons), Sh. Naveen Gupta, Ld. Special Secretary, DSLSA and Sh. Rajesh Chopra, DIG (Prisons) as well as Superintendents of Jails in Delhi.”
Training Programme for Chairpersons and Members of Child Welfare Committee
“Delhi State Legal Services Authority organized a half day Training Programme for Chairpersons and Members of Child Welfare Committee on 26th September, 2023 at Conference Hall, Rouse Avenue District Court Complex, New Delhi.
Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Member Secretary, DSLSA gave opening remarks and apprised the participants about the objective behind the training programme.
Sh. Naveen Gupta, Special Secretary, DSLSA and Sh. Anant Asthana, Advocate/consultant (JJB & CWC) imparted training on the topic “Legal Provisions for Protection & Welfare of CNCP”. The session was elaborated with the help of Powerpoint Presentation. The session was very interactive. All the queries of the participants related to the topic were resolved by the resource persons.
Thereafter, Dr. Nisha Agrawal, Deputy Director, DWCD and Sh. Mridul Gupta, Additional Secretary, DSLSA delivered the next session on the topic “role of CWCs in rehabilitation of CNCP”. Sh. Abhinav Pandey, Secretary (Litigation), DSLSA moderated/coordinated the Programme. At the end of session, queries of participants were duly addressed.”

Delhi State Legal Services Authority organized a training programme for one newly appointed officer of the Delhi Higher Judicial Service on 13.09.2023 as a part of foundation course conducted by Delhi Judicial Academy to acquire knowledge about the working of DSLSA.
Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Member Secretary, DSLSA and Sh. Naveen Gupta, Special Secretary, DSLSA apprised him about the provisions of Free Legal Aid as envisaged in Legal Services Authority Act, 1987 with the help of PPT for an effective understanding. Sh. Mridul Gupta, Additional Secretary, DSLSA interacted with Officer and made them aware about the functioning of DSLSA/DLSAs, 24*7 toll free helpline number and different schemes provided by this Authority. Sh. Abhinav Pandey, Secretary (Litigation), DSLSA apprised the officer about the functioning of Delhi Victim Compensation Scheme.
During the visit, the officer was accompanied by Ms. Jyoti Maheshwari, Secretary, Central-II to oversee the working of DLSA, Nyay Sanyog office, Vulnerable Witness Room and Mediation Centre in Rouse Avenue District Courts, New Delhi.”

Delhi State Legal Services Authority organized Half Day Training-cum-Capacity Building Programme for Panel Lawyers of All India Legal Aid Cell on Child Rights on 05th October, 2023 at Conference Hall, First Floor, Rouse Avenue District Courts.
Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Member Secretary, DSLSA gave opening remarks and apprised the participants about the objective behind the Training-cum-Capacity Building programme.
Sh. Naveen Gupta, Special Secretary, DSLSA and Sh. Mridul Gupta, Additional Secretary, DSLSA delivered the session on the topic “Legal representation to Children in Need of Care & Protection-An overview”. The topic was elaborated with the help of Powerpoint Presentation and relevant Video clippings. The session was very interactive.
Sh. Abhinav Pandey, Secretary (Litigation), DSLSA and Sh. Anant Asthana, Advocate/Consultant (JJB & CWC matters) were the resource persons for next session which was on the topic “Litigation Measures & Strategies for protecting the Rights of Children engaged with Legal and Justice System”.

Delhi State Legal Services Authority organized a half day Training Programme for Lawyers of Rape Crisis Cell (RCC) of Delhi Commission for Women on 20th September, 2023 at Conference Hall, Rouse Avenue District Court Complex, New Delhi.
Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Member Secretary, DSLSA gave opening remarks and apprised the participants about the objective behind the training programme.
Sh. Sushant Changotra, Secretary, DHCLSC and Sh. Mridul Gupta, Additional Secretary, DSLSA imparted training on the topic “Way to proceed for adult trial in POCSO cases under JJ Act”. The session was elaborated with the help of Powerpoint Presentation. The participants interacted with full enthusiasm. All the queries of the participants related to the topic were resolved by the resource person.
Sh. Abhinav Pandey, Secretary (Litigation), DSLSA delivered the next session on the topic “Basic grounds for moving applications for compensation under DVCS in disposed of matters”. At the end of session, queries of participants were duly addressed.
