The Academy for Smart Policing (ASP)/Delhi Police Academy, Chanakyapuri organized one day Workshop on “Sensitization and Training Programme on Offences under POCSO Act & Provisions of Delhi Victim Compensation Scheme” on 23.05.2023 for the rank of DCPs/Addl. DCPs and ACs P.
Ms. Harshita Mishra, Secretary, (Litigation), DSLSA was nominated as the resource person on 23.05.2023 and she delivered the Session on the topic “Delhi Victims Compensation Scheme, 2018. Delhi Witness Protection Scheme, 2018. Guidelines issued by Hon’ble Delhi High Court in W.P. (C) No. 8889 of 2011 in Court on its Own Motion v/s Dept. of Women & Child Development & Ors. Directions to Police”. She briefed the topic to the participants and also resolved the queries raised by them.

23.05.2023:- Second Day of 3 Days Para Legal Volunteer Training for the students of Vivekanand Institute of Professional Studies
On Second day of PLV Training Programme i.e. on 23rd May, 2023, Sh. Himanshu Sehloth, the then Secretary, North DLSA took the first session on“Schemes of NALSA and DSLSA with special emphasis on Delhi Victims’ Compensation Scheme-2018, Scheme for Empanelment of Para Legal Volunteers and their Deployment in Police Stations in Delhi for cases pertaining to Missing Children and other offences against children”. The session was made more interactive with the aid of PPT.
Sh. Sushant Changotra, the then Special Secretary, DSLSA was the second resource person of this day and he explained the topic “Laws for Protection of Children with Special emphasis on Cyber Crimes”. The topic was elaborated with the help of PPT.
Thereafter, third session was delivered by Sh. Pranat Kumar Joshi, the then Secretary, Shahdara DLSA. He briefed the participants about “Human Rights, Basis Structure of the Constitution of India, Fundamental Rights and Fundamental Duties of Citizens”. PPT was also displayed.
The last session of the day was taken by Sh. Lalit Kumar, the then Secretary Central-II DLSA. He explained the topic “Overview of Right to Information Act, 2005” to the Participants.
After every session, all the queries raised by the participants were resolved by the Resource persons.
Para Legal Volunteer Training for the Students of Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (Day-1)
22.05.2023:- Para Legal Volunteer Training for the Students of Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies
Delhi State Legal Services Authority conducted three days Para Legal Volunteer Training Programme w.e.f 22.05.2023 to 24.05.2023 for the students of Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies at Auditorium, Ground Floor, B-Block, VIPS, Pitampura, Delhi.
Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA delivered the first session on “Introduction to Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 and activities of DSLSA, Role and Responsibilities of PLVs”. He elaborated the topic and also made the participants aware about free legal aid services provided by this Authority and 24X7 helpline number 1516.
Sh. Manish Jain, Secretary, North West DLSA was the second resource person of the day. His session was on “Overview of Criminal Justice System including Bail, Rights of Accused and Victims, Registration of FIR u/s 154 Cr.P.C and Petition under 156(3) Cr. P.C”.
The third session was delivered by Sh. Gagan Arora, Corporate Thought Leader & Founder of HR Leadership Venture GWEPP on the topic “Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills”. Thereafter the last session was delivered by Sh. Rishabh Kapoor, the then Secretary, West DLSA on the topic “Sexual offences against women under IPC (Rape & Sexual Assaults) & The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal)Act, 2013” .
After every session, all the queries raised by participants were resolved by the Resource persons.

Ms. Harshita Mishra, Secretary (Litigation), DSLSA was invited as a Panelist for the session on the topic “Issues & Constraints of JJBs” on 18.05.2023 from 03:30 onwards.

17.05.2023: Half Day Training of RCC Lawyers of Delhi Commission of Women
Delhi State Legal Services Authority organized Training Programme for Lawyers of Rape Crisis Cell (RCC), Delhi Commission for Women on 17th May, 2023 from 03:00 PM onwards at First Floor, Conference Hall, Rouse Avenue District Court Complex, New Delhi.
Sh. Pranat Kumar Joshi, Secretary, Shahdara DLSA gave opening remarks and apprised the participants about the objective behind organizing this training programme.
Ms. Shreya Rastogi, Founding Member & Director (Forensics), Project 39A, National Law University, Delhi was the first Resource Person. She delivered the session on the topic “Understanding FSL reports:- Its corroborative value & effect of discrepancies impact during trial.” The session was very informative and interactive.
Thereafter, Ms. Uzma Parveen, Psychologist and Practitioner Counsellor, HAQ Centre for Child Rights delivered the second session on the topic “Providing Psychological support to Child Victim”. PPT was also shown to elaborate the topic.
At the end, queries raised by participants were resolved by the resource persons.”

National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD) organized a “Consultation Meet for Chairpersons and Members of Child Welfare Committees” on 16th and 17th May, 2023 for the Chairpersons and Members of Child Welfare Committees (CWC) from all the State and UTs of the Country at Siri Industrial Area, Hauz Khas, New Delhi.
Ms. Jasdeep Kaur, Legal Services Advocate was nominated as Resource Person. She delivered the session and led the discussion on the topic “Issues & Constraints of CWCs in Handling CNCP Cases” on 17.05.2023. The session was very informative and all the queries raised by the participants were resolved by the Resource Person.

Delhi Police Academy, Specialized Training Centre, Rajender Nagar organized an orientation course for the newly appointed SHOs at Specialized Training Centre, Rajender Nagar, New Delhi from 03.05.2023 to 15.05.2023.
Ms. Jasdeep Kaur, Legal Aid Counsel from Juvenile Justice Board delivered the session as a resource person on 11.05.2023 on the topic “Juvenile Justice Act, 2015 and its application. Duties of police under J. J. Act and Delhi Juvenile Justice Model Rules-2016.
Guideline issued by Hon’ble Delhi High Court in W.P. (C) No. 8889 of 2011 in court on its own motion v/s Dept. Of Women & Child Development & ors. Directions to Police” from 02:00 to 03:15pm. The session was very informative and the topis was elaborated with the help of PPT.

DSLSA organized a field visit of newly appointed Trainee Judicial Officers of Delhi Higher Judicial Services and Delhi Judicial Services in Slum Areas of Delhi
“Visit of Trainee Judicial Officers from DHJS/DJS in slum Areas
Delhi State Legal Services Authority organized a field visit of newly appointed Trainee Judicial Officers of Delhi Higher Judicial Services and Delhi Judicial Services in Slum Areas of Delhi as a part of their Induction Curriculum in Delhi Judicial Academy on 09.05.2023.
A legal awareness talk was also organized in Mahila Panchayats functional under Delhi Commission for Women to spread legal awareness amongst the general public. Trainee Judicial Officers as well as Secretaries of DLSAs took part in the same. After the awareness session Trainee Judicial Officers accompanied by Secretary of concerned DLSA and a local visit was made to the nearby Slum Areas. Areas which were covered are Burari, Mandawali, JJ colony, Wazirpur, old Mustafabad, Mangolpuri, Vijay Vihar (Phase-I) Rohini, New Seema Puri, Sangam Vihar, Sarita Vihar, Kakrola Dwarka, JJ colony Bakkarwala Mundka and Chanchal Park, Ranhola. Services of Legal Aid Counsels (LACs) specially constituted Domestic Violence Task Force (DVTF) and project “SPARSH” were utilized for delivering sessions on women related laws, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2013 (POCSO) etc.
Thereafter, all the newly recruited Judicial officers from DHJS/DJS arrived at Central Office, DSLSA, Rouse Avenue District Court for an experience sharing feedback session and interaction with the Officers of DSLSA at Conference Hall, Rouse Avenue District Court Complex. Sh. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Member Secretary, DSLSA welcomed all the Judicial Officers the Judicial Officers were encouraged to share their experiences of the day.
Sh. Sushant Changotra, Special Secretary, DSLSA, Ms. Harshita Mishra, Secretary (Litigation), DSLSA and Sh. Lalit Kumar, Secretary, Central-II, DSLSA also interacted with the Trainee Judicial Officers and took feedback from the newly recruited Judicial Officers. The Trainee Judicial Officers shared their individual experiences and gave suggestions for inclusion in future programs for legal aid and legal awareness.

“Delhi State Legal Services Authority collaborated as Principal partner with Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti, NGO and organized a “Legal Awareness Kavi Goshthi” on 07.05.2023 at Geetanjali Auditorium, Delhi Public Library, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Marg, Delhi.
The objective of the programme was to draw maximum number of people to be a part of the legal awareness sessions as well as recital of poems by the poets, public officials etc. in the public interest.
Sh. Pranat Kumar Joshi, Secretary, Shahdara DLSA was invited to grace the occasion. He explained the participants about the provisions of Free Legal Aid as envisaged in Legal Services Authority Act, 1987and 24*7 toll free helpline number of this Authority 1516.
