Valedictory Session of Para Legal Volunteers Training at VIPS – 23.08.2025
The Valedictory Session of the Para Legal Volunteers’ Training Programme took place on 23rd August 2025 at the Auditorium, VIPS-TC, marking the successful culmination of the two-day initiative. Hon’ble Mr. Justice V. Kameshwar Rao, Judge, High Court of Delhi and Executive Chairperson, DSLSA, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the ceremony.
The programme began with the inauguration of the Legal Services Centre and the Legal Literacy Zone at the College Library, thereby reinforcing the institution’s commitment to promoting legal awareness and strengthening community service. Prof. (Dr.) T. V. Subba Rao, Chairperson, VSLLS, VIPS-TC, extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries present. The ceremony also included the distribution of mementoes to students who had actively participated in Legal Services activities, followed by the presentation of certificates to the newly trained PLVs, acknowledging their efforts and achievements.
In his Keynote Address, Sh. Rajeev Bansal, Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA, emphasized the vital role of PLVs in bridging the gap between the common man and the legal services system. This was followed by the Presidential Address of Hon’ble Mr. Justice V. Kameshwar Rao, who commended the contributions of students, faculty, and DSLSA in ensuring the success of the programme. His Lordship inspired the PLVs to carry forward their responsibilities with sincerity, dedication, and compassion.
Prof. (Dr.) Rashmi Salpekar, Dean, VSLLS, VIPS-TC, proposed a formal Vote of Thanks to all dignitaries and participants for their presence and support. The event concluded with the National Anthem, observed by all present in the auditorium, symbolizing unity and collective resolve.
