    Training Programme for Internal Committee Members under the POSH Act, 2013 on 26.07.2025

    A half-day training programme was organized on 26th July 2025 at the Conference Hall, Room No. 103, Rouse Avenue District Courts, New Delhi. The event was tailored for all the officials/staff of DSLSA, DHCLSC and DLSAs who have been nominated as Chairpersons and Members of respective Internal Committees, including representatives from NGOs and external experts, constituted under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. Total number of participants were 37.

    The session began with an introductory interaction led by Ms. Tanvi Khurana, Ld. Special Secretary, DLSA, followed by an overview session on POSH Act by Sh. Mridul Gupta, Ld. Additional Secretary, DSLSA and Sh. Abhinav Pandey, Ld. Secretary(Litigation), DSLSA. The core session was addressed by Ms. Tapasya Agarwal, Ld. Secretary, Central DLSA who discussed the key provisions of the Act, including the definition of sexual harassment, the constitution and role of the Internal Committee (ICs), and the redressal mechanism available to victims. Emphasizing the importance of a safe and respectful work environment, Ms. Tapasya Agarwal, Ld. Secretary, Central DLSA also highlighted the employers’ duties and the legal consequences of non-compliance. To further enrich the session with insights and case references, PowerPoint presentation was given to the participants.

    The programme concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants shared their experiences and sought clarifications. This was followed by providing an informal platform for discussion and collaboration among stakeholders. The training successfully enhanced understanding and practical knowledge regarding the implementation of the POSH Act.
